Time Square LCD Screens

Our project for Dynamic Interfaces is to pretend we have an unlimited budget to do something cool with the lcd bill boards in time square. Our challenge is to also communicate with fellow team members without actually meeting them in person. The the first method of communication we tried was 3 way calling, via our cell phones. However, we wanted our hands free to browse our computer and share ideas, so we decided to try video chatting. Our first thought was Skype, but they do not seem to have 3 way video conferencing yet. Our next try was Ichat but not all 3 members of the team had Ichat installed. Next we tried a program called oovoo which is a video conferencing program, with a free 30 day trial. The programs user interface design was horrible to navigate but the 3 way video worked well. At this point an hour had past trying to explore and install these different programs.
For the LCD bill boards, we wanted to use a game that would pit the people in time square against the people at home or work on their computers. With that over all concept, we discussed games from guitar hero to mario kart but have not settled on one idea. Our next meeting we plan have more ideas and design mock ups. We plan to use the same oovoo program for the video conferencing, but because the user interface is so horrible, we will use google groups to share our files for the meeting.
